color filling legend related to flooring materials

hi to everyone following a video on the autodesk site I created a color filling legend and changing pattern I chose as color (floor finishing type)
to the type that makes the video appear automatically all the materials of the floors instead to me it appears empty, if I click on the Add button I can do it manually by adding rigo per rigo giving a name and a dash.
my question is, should this procedure take place automatically as I see doing in the video, or manually as I did?

Did you fill the "floor finishing" parameter in the premises? because if you have not compiled that data it is obvious that the list is empty

I filled it and obviously putting that parameter goes tt ok but so I do everything manually instead from this video he sets the type and looks everything automatically, maybe he did it manually and avoided showing the various steps? for this I came doubt if I mistake something or do it just so manually

obviously had already compiled the value of the parameters before creating the scheme. nothing appears automatically (the values cannot invent them; or there are or are not there)
