comando terrain

You kindly explain to me the use of the Terrain command....in practice where it is and how it is used...
I imported autocad polylines at different altitudes and I would like to join them to make them a superfice

Hello, now I don't have 3dsmax under my hand but the Terrain command serves as you say to create a surface or a solid following the level curves.
the command finds it on the object compounds.
