hi to everyone, I am new in the forum and I just started using solidworks as a home hobby because I like to draw, I have to create a lamina curve, I don't know what function to use to make sure that the lamina created with the extrusion of a rectangle becomes curve, for example the profile must be that of a round bracket )... you can tell me how I can do.thanks in advance.

you need to use the "sweep" function by selecting as a profile the section of your lamina and as a path the curve. see the help for the command functions.
However the "round relatives" in the form of lamina you can do it more simply by making the straight etrusion of the section with the form you need (arch, curve etc... )

I tried with the bow but I don't get what I want, I'll try with the sweep, if I can't put on the board the odds and maybe someone tries to do it, only if you can otherwise nothing

You're writing like we're all in front of your monitor or in front of your sketch that represents what you want to do. try to make someone of your confidence read what you wrote and ask if they understand us something:confused:.
we do not have crystal peel:cool: so please try to formulate your requests in a clear and understandable manner, possibly by attaching the scan of a hand-made sketch on any piece of paper that describes what you want to do.

for me you have to do a "thing" so...or... so

Since you have to make a sheet I suggest you use the environment and functions Lamiera. do the tutorials about it and you will see it is very simple.

then as said explained better, maybe posting an example file (certain you can.. Before you wrote here, didn't you walk around? Didn't you see everyone attaching files, photos and drawings? ? ).

but first of all, since you are a new user to the first message, give a careful reading to the regulation:http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/showthread.php?t=13677many things will be clear to you.

greetings and welcome

mike thanks for the evidence you've done, what I have to do is just like that, even if my sheet has to have a larger angle, I now attach an image with the profile of my sheet, so you will understand better what I want to do, if you don't understand or put another

miki the third image is perfect for me, you did an arc and a hai estruso?
lol... it's like the first... only that is horizontal. . .
You answered yourself!

If you want the piece to "srotoli" (develop in floor) then extrude it with the sheet function:
tab flange base (it is sufficent an arc).
you can choose thickness and depth of extrusion.

Miki the third image is perfect for me, did you bow and extruded it?
but have you consulted the help, the online guide? did you do the tutorials for sheet metal??! It's all explained for those simple basic operations.

greetings
Mar
