Hello, everyone!
I am new to the despite forum has spulned many of your (very helpful!) discussions.
thanks to your discussion I became aware of a "proof" version of solid works for 90 days that I would like to download to be able to use it at home.
my question is: this version "proof" and solid works 2010 in general turns on xp sp2? if not how can I do to have a previous trial version?

in case I decided to buy a license (of course not for commercial purposes) how much would I spend?

I realize that my questions are rather trivial and perhaps a little stupid: But I'd like to have my software at home or on my pc so I could just unhook myself! Thanks for everything from now on!

Hi.
Surely it turns on xp sp2; if you want to buy sw it will cost you a few thousand euros (on 4.000/5.000 euros, the order of magnitude is this, of course I can not tell you).

Hi.

Many universities have an agreement for which they can give access to the student version valid for a year. eye to the performance of the pc because sw is not really light to turn. . .

the student version costs about 100 euros, but you can not use it for commercial purposes and there are some protective mechanisms in that sense.

Good morning.
In addition to what is rightly written by others I can tell you that the student version is complete... but with the blocks for commercial use: In practice it prevents you to put in 2d with a proprietary cartiglio and remains in filigree the logo "student version".

Hi.

thanks to all!as always you are super fast and super exhausting.
As for the pc I don't think I have any problems: I am buying in these days a mac book pro from 2.66 ghz and 4gb of ram with the nvidia 9400 and 9600... they told me that using the boot I should not have trouble!

The student version would be perfect for me... one last thing: do you know where I can buy it? is located in normal shops of electronics and software or can only be ordered on the internet?thanks again!

Don't be too convinced. .
what do you need a mac if then "boot" in windows?

greetings
Marco:smile:

bè I have seen numerous discussions in this and in other forums, in addition I know some people use it for drawing 3d and I have spoken very well!
Among other things I have seen some statements that speak of a short release of a version of sw per mac.
I still have a lot of time (unfortunately) before starting to work seriously with the cad I will have time to assess well what is the best choice...for now I take this advantage :)

Careful, the graphics card you indicated is not suitable for swx. picture nvidia is the highly recommended family of cards.

You want to put it in college when you turn on your computer and do "booong" and light up the apple on the foldable screen? think of the figure you do with philosophy students instead of turning on a proletarian acer...

Anyway I'm noticing that this thing about buying mac and then putting windows on it is spreading a lot, you see that windows don't feel so bad at the end...

If I'm not a fan of the apple, I don't think windows don't suck so much, but if you want us to turn a cad you have to use it. if then people cannot give up the aesthetics of a mac, it is another speech.
the same reason why I have not yet passed definitively to linux (with merits and defects of the case, but this is not the section to discuss it)

for the rest quoto hunter

small personal experience: I own a mac pro 13 inches on which is installed parallels with win xp, solidworks turns benign.
people buy mac because they go well, install win because unfortunately some software lack.
windows on mac turns very fast even in emulation.

Bye to all,
I would have a question instead about compatibility with window7, which version of solidwork is compatible with it? ?
Thank you.

strange question with an arched answer. with the search function find everything. and in any case to post in the appropriate section (solidworks in this case) without having to settle in old discussions with ot.

then as new users before intervention it would be good to read this:http://www.cad3d.it/forum1/showthread.php?t=13677..it is all well explained how to live the dating of the forum.

greetings
