compatibilità sw 2009 con windows 7

I just changed my old computer with a workstation that I can't fully exploit for the presence of windows xp.
this because I was told that with solid works 2009 I can not use windows 7 (unfortunately, given the black period and however not actual need, the company is not willing to upgrade the license of sq).

but is it true that I cannot install sw on windows 7?
What problems can I find?

If you have a win7 car somewhere, try it out, what's the problem?

I'm using a 2005 version of if on win7 and it works well, the only shortness I had to take was disable aero, and use the theme "classicwindows".

I had an idea to do that.
I just changed it and I'm waiting for a colleague to finish installing the new computer to try on his.
but I wanted to know if someone knew something and maybe told me to let it go because it's not possible: I avoided throwing away time.
