Hello everyone, I am a new member
generating 3d models with catia v5 and importing them on working center k165 which uses cam hi-mill 8.1 feedback in working on the piece, imperfections on the surfaces (real and proper holes at times) that involve me breaks of tools and nn I tell you the saints I pull down from the calendar.
visually the imported model gives me problems that I then respond to working, so in good faith I leave quiet.
Has anyone had these problems? ? ?
Can you use rhinos as a pass filter?? ? ?
thank you for all your advice

for my little but experienced caty experience, I think the best thing is to export from caty in step then reinstate into the cam, of course the cam should have more or less automatic verification options as well as seam surfaces otherwise you risk anyway.
I don't know if you have valid options to 'treat' an imported model, but I don't think so.
However the step should be one of the best formats for export.

if the surface has holes there is a command in rhino that finds them and highlights them.
there is no possibility to repair them automatically, that I know

thanks shrek for the information but I believe that the cam that I use nn recognize the format step !!!i the .model of catia I have set it in order to have a direct passage between catia and hi -mill however check thanks

you are right marangon in fact rhino could be useful to verify that the nn model has anomalies on the surfaces !!!poi at the limit I could use the cam on the machine to repair it if this is possible.

Sorry I see now this task
But you don't have a 3d cam in the company?
himill is a basic application of fidia not a true cam and I propose.
