Hello everyone,
I have a problem with the schematization of a laminate made up of various layers of fabric. This composite is built through the infusion technique by overlapping various layers of carbon fiber fabric. the resin used is epoxy. I know both fiber and resin. my doubt is what data you use as a starting point for a preliminary sizing. in particular where I can find values on the various modules, poisson... because I have seen that there are various types of fabrics on the market, but they are prepreg type. Should I take one that looks like us and correct it down to stay safe?
and then admitted to finding a material I have a doubt on the criteria of failure, supposed to use a criterion, when I have to insert the various xt, xc,yt,yc values.. are they related to fiber and matrix? because I had made simulations but I used only ud lamine in the case of the fabric these values still have the same meaning or is there a false connection?
Thank you.
