Good morning to all,
I am a designer of a small metal company where we use gbg 6.0.

I have activated the dm v7.0d version of the software that starts properly.
When, however, from the file menu, I launch the command "load view file", it does not open any dialog and the gbg support window (the one where the list of executed commands appears) is blocked by forcing me to close the program from "start management activity" of windows 7.

I hope someone can help me configure the program, allowing them to access the path where ns. drawings are archived.

Thank you all for your help. :smile:

disabled uac?

where did you install the program? I seem to remember that under c:\programs (x86) does not work, instead having put it in c:\think3\ works well (but I have version 8.1, although I do not think makes a big difference). already that you are trying to give the current user complete permissions on the program installation folder... .

Hello hunter,
Thanks for the answer.

I did what you said.

after disabled in win 7 professional 64 bit uac, gbg 7.0 asked me again to register the program (dm run time + insert name + password input) and it started, but the problem persists.

about the folder attributes (which is located in the root of the disk c: at the following path c:\cadlab\dm70), I noticed that win 7 highlights me with a blue square the reading attribute: I tried to remove it, but despite the administrator credentials, it continues to reappear. However, in the c:\cadlab\dm60 folder there is gbg60, but it works even if the reading attribute remains pointed.

I tried to search for a .ini file to edit but the only one I find (dm.ini)
has the same instructions as gbg 6.0 (except for subfolders): This is what it says:

gbg v7.0
*
** example of initialization file per pc windows nt - 95
** (to use that file, replace dircad with root
** installation, then enter the desired keys
** Breaking the various rows and adding to the string
*** launch key -ini <path-name di="" file="" ini=""> )
*
* msg dircad\dm70\files\dm.msg
* msg 1 dircad\dm70\files\parl.msg
* msg 2 dircad\dm70\files\prmsg
* drc
* Tol 0 0.6 0.2
* qvp 1
* one dircad\dm70\files\uni.tab
*
* pro gbg
* pld dircad\dm70\files\dmini
* prc init
* end

Do you have any other suggestions?
Thank you.</path-name>

More than removing the reading attribute, you should add that "writing." ...

But the problem is related to the "ui-server"? I remember, I solved it a long time ago, and then it never happened again. I don't remember doing any more special.

can you write what appears in the i/or window when the program plant?
Are hardware key drivers updated?

attached file relative to the blocked dialog box.

I also checked the drivers of the wrench (my is usb type) and they are updated:
- safenet inc. hardlock key 6.22.0.0 of 01/12/2011
- safenet inc. usb key 6.22.0.0 of 01/12/2011

I also have a USB stick. However if it was a problem of missing key recognition, a message would appear in the window.

from the screen you see nothing strange. Maybe the problem is in v7.0 version that doesn't go and instead 8.1 yes?

How's the launch string you find in the icon you're starting the program? My name is:
Code:
c:\think3\dm81\bin\dm.exe -lang i
If you have added things, i.e. addresses to different customization files, try removing them, and relaunch the cad.

p.s. by chance have you transported the personalizations of the user who once at the cadlab put under c:\user\name_user? this path on seven is already occupied by the operating system, so folders related to the gbg-dm user disperse in the middle of the other user files (poor bad).
try creating a new window user and see if it works with that.

My launch string has no additional parameters
c:\cadlab\dm70\bin\dm.exe

about the customizations folder I found the following file in the path
c:\users\user\dm70\dm_conf.prc of which I attach the content:

#procedure set_setambiente
*
gb_s_pc(p_cdird,c:/cadlab/dm70")
gb_s_pc(p_cdirp," ")
gb_s_pc(p_clibr,c:/cadlab/dm70/libsim.dl")
gb_s_pc(p_unifil,"c:/cadlab/dm70/files/unitab")
dmautosv.d
gb_s_pc(dmp_cnfrepl,1)
*

I also noticed that in the "environment" mask of the preferences mask (activable from the program options menu), there is the folder field that has two subfields:
- the first is called "signs:" and contains the following path c:/cadlab/dm70
- the second is called "procedure:" and is empty.
I think you have to put something in "procedures" to tell gbg how to manage the path in the field "signs".

I also tried to create a new user, but it doesn't work. :mad:
