configurations in catia v5

I would like to know if you can use configuration functions (equivalent to solidworks) in catia v5. I refer to the possibility of managing multiple configurations of the same assembly, activating or deactivating components.
I also ask you if it is possible to do so in .catparts, deactivating or deactivating feature depending on the configuration you choose.
in solidworks is very used this option and I wonder how it is not possible in catia. if it does not exist, do you get to this option with any shortcuts?

However, I was referring to the possibility of managing the various product configurations. each configuration has various combinations of components and starts from a parent product that includes all components.
choosing the desired configuration, the father returns the file with the combination of components provided by the configuration.

I currently in caia v5 I create my children by changing the project table in excel from a father I have parameterized previously.
However, I can only change any parameters, not manage which components (or feature if we talk about catpart) activate or disable in the child. Is there any way you know that?

I used the project table once years ago to create a series of special screws so I know too little to help you.
I imagine you can disable a features in the project table if you upload the features parameter via the knowledge module and in the table you then apply the true (true) or false (false), but it is a complicated procedure.

You could be more precise, it's from stamatina that I try to find what you told me but I didn't find anything.
