The multibody parts cannot be related to each other, as indicated by the program, and I think it has its own logic.

If you need that geometry between one side and the other you can sweep a quarter of circumference (closed with two tangent external segments) along the edges to be connected. It's a bit of a buzz, but I don't think of any other solutions. the hour is late and the affected neuron:redface:

I have no idea why if you join the separate bodies then you have to do everything from scratch, maybe there will be some features that look for a specific body that is no longer there but just re-edit it.
to merge open the first feature of the second body disjoined from the first and put the flag on "unis result" and regenerates.
