Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and I'm a mechanical engineering student. I have to complete a thermomechanical simulation of a welding process. I have to get both the temperatures at which the plate arrives at the end of the process and in addition to obtain the residual tensions. My problem arises when I go to apply the volumetric load that allows me to simulate the welding. in fact at the end of the process it turns out that the plate in some points has cooled: Which is practically impossible. The professor told me that the problem is that the program does not go to convergence. I'm trying all: apply the heat load gradually by changing the times but nothing. Do you have any suggestions??
