Good morning to all, as from object I am trying to understand what may be the best way to do this passage.
I have to transform these files of furnishing accessories in order to make them usable also for the users of archicad.
do you have advice, methods and shortcomings for this operation?
thanks to all in advance!

archicad imports .3ds files, turning them into objects.
Iges no

there is a paid plug in for importing .3ds with multiple options if you want to place the link

Yes, thank you, I may be interested, but then can I create a library that I can give to my customers?

I would try first to import the 3ds into archicad through his command; find it under the menu "archive" --> file management --> import file 3 dstudio;
if I see well use c4d; if so keep in mind that archicad can import c4d files;
in last I link you to paid plugin: http://aecobjects.com/#aboutYou better get some evidence to see if the imported items are usable
