convert to solid mesh created in autocad

Hello.
I would like to know if it is possible (and, possibly, how) to convert in mesh solids created with autocad 2008 and then imported into 3d studio max 9.
I would like to convert to mesh to be able to apllicate multi-materials and displacement maps.
I tried to use the displace approx modifier. but it doesn't work.

when it matters they should already be mesh, maybe it depends on the import settings.
for the displace approx if I don't remember badly before you have to insert a map into the displacement channel of the material and maybe after it works.

just right click on the object and select: convert to editable mesh! was just a banality...exciting that text that they are!
