cosmosflow-internal and external analysis

Hello everyone,
I would need some clarification on the use of cosmosfloworks: from the tutorials I saw that it is possible to do "internal" analysis o "external" to the model; I have the need to study an iron block with internal heat generation in which there is a cooling circuit with circulating water and also the outer surface of the block radiates towards space. I tried to simulate everything by proceeding in two ways:
1) with internal simulation and setting external surfaces as radiant;
2) with internal simulation and non setting external surfaces as radiant;
but I think that the results are identical, in fact when I try to analyze a section of the system I do not see the field of temperature in the outer space, but the coloring only affects the block.
If you can help me, I will be immensely grateful.

internal or external is reported to the control volume. If you want to have your stamp and analyze even 10 cubic meters around it you can always do an internal analysis but do a much larger control volume than that of the vent.
