create a circular window

hi to everyone, I have vectorworks 2009 in original Italian version and I wanted to know how to make a circular shape window. I have seen that in the palette of the tools dedicated to the windows there is the possibility to customize the shape but missing the circular one. Thank you for your help

If you mean like a porthole, no, you can't set up a window like that. only his summit can be circular.
You have to build a "personalized" 3d symbol with a circular shape that, however, will enter without problems in the wall, as a parametric window would.

a curiosity: but if you have to enter the lock as you do?
e.g. with allplan I have the circular window and then I go to model the lock (or I already have set), but with vw how you behave after making the hole?

models all the lock in 3d and then convert it into symbol. at that point the wall inserts it by drilling. you will not see a hole in the wall but the circular window inserted in it.
you cannot choose to view it either open or closed, instead option offered by parametric objects. But so you can still have custom locks.

"studioaua" if you use the Italian version of vw, among the wall tools you will find the opening tool.
between the different parametric openings, you will also find holes with circular glass.

even if you often resort to solid modeling to get customized details. in this case it is enough to convert objects shaped into 3d symbols.

as you can see from the attached images, the parametric windows can easily shape them according to your needs. there are many parameters to get well detailed objects. but if you stay inside quite common types.
having special needs is better to build them by modeling and then converting them into symbols.
I attach a particular window example that I shaped and transformed into a hybrid symbol that, as you can see, the wall recognizes.

as lory.b has already written there are several methods to obtain "commun" parametric fixtures.
there are differences between the Italian version and the international version.
as the parameters of the locks, that in the Italian version adapt more
to our national parameters. see attached pictures

I'm sorry, I felt bad.
I didn't mean to say that it doesn't make sense that the closing is all in glass, but I meant that, if it comes to the opening lock, it took the frame etc.
