create a copy of a set with different model name

Good morning.

I'm learning how to use the program.

1) I should create a copy of a set with its components. I want the copy to have a different ''model' name', how can I do it? I tried with ''save a back up'' or ''save copy'' but it doesn't allow me, I can only change the '' filename'''

2) the two assemblies then I will have to insert a larger set. If I put them without changing the '' model name', do they conflict? or just put them in the different '' filename' and nothing happens?

should just use the "Save Copy" function.
this function, in the case of a set, allows you to save with a new name the axieme and if you want to save the components with a new name (otherwise remain the same).

I don't understand what you mean by "model name." . Is this a parameter?

simple:
a.asm
-b.prt
-c.prt
wishing to rename a.asm aa.asm, I create you to maintain b.prt and c.prt or rename them as you wish.

you can build a set even putting all equal assemblies, you don't need to rename them.
Similarly you can put the same part several times with the same name.
creo does not make confusion: in the parts each operation/work has a unique internal identification number, and the same is done also in the assemblies.
Of course if you have to make changes on one of the axioms (or parts), or predict that they will be made, you should make a copy save (or save by name, I do not remember the exact name) and manage them as they were two different.
