create a report with date and time on excel of openings and closures with its autocad file name

hi to all I'm new and recently entered the world of vbas for autocad and excel and I can't prorpio to let autocad interact with excel so that when opening a cad file on my smuter I create an event that opens a excel file and I go to mark on the date line and time of opening and file name, and when it is closed reopens the same file and marks the closing time of the latter.
I hope I've explained quite clearly.

workbook.open event of the autocad vba.
more than using excel sheet is preferable to create a text file and use append to add a new line to the file at each event; the text file then manage it with excel.
