Good morning to all,

I'm new to the forum.

My question is: can you create a cad program in vb.net (vb2008) using autocad libraries without installing autocad on the pc? I would need this to create an application that will then be distributed. . .

thank you in advance to all who will respond!

if you use the libraries of a program, you must have the installed program.
typically they are interface libraries, so the execution environment is the cad itself. However, you can use open source libraries to create a cad from scratch or, less ambitious but more feasible, change an existing cad program (of course always free or open source).
If you want 3d libraries you can try thesehttp://www.geometros.com/sgcore/review.htmor the usual google

thanks for the answer... .

I tried to look for a bit on google and found objectarx but I didn't understand if it could be my case...

Can you tell me if it could be okay?

Thank you.
