creation .dxf file not updated

hello to all
as indicated in the title I happened to receive laser cutting components not drawing because the dxf file was not updated.
from what I could reconstruct the file created as sheet metal, (as I think is normle ) during the design phase undergoes several modifications but the flat model did not update moral the piece was shorter than 20mm.
Has anyone happened?
we use iv2019
thickness is correct
in the specific file there were no folds the flat model was created to speed up the creation of the dxf file

the dxf file is not related to the inventor model.
It also happens that the flat model ( 3d ), following a little more "complicated" changes, does not update.
in which case it is necessary to cancel and regenerate it.

Sometimes it happens if you change the sheet with the command "direct change", personally I always try to avoid it, considering that I consider it a command of modeling and not of sheet metal

erase the flat model and remake it.... it is very right, the only drawback is that you lose the possible view in table 2d with its quotas.

I always use this system, which I sincerely do not know if it is influential or not, but I always knew that it helps to generate sheet development (I use it in a "automatic way since iv6 of 2002), that is before creating the flat model 3d, I touch a face (usually the main) with the mouse arrow (theoretically I hold the piece steady).... I don't know, maybe it's a cabbage, but it works, often realizes
