Good morning.
I have already searched on the forum a solution, without going out.

I have a basic kit consisting of several components that must all appear in the same separate, which must always be purchased together.
My problem is that if I issue one component I cannot mount the other, and vice versa, and I would like to represent on the table this condition.
I should also be able to represent configurations on the overall father.
I think I can hide the components that I don't need in a representation, saving the same so that I can activate it when necessary. But I don't know how to do it!

Premetto: I have come from more than 10 years of design with inventor, and it is only a month that I am approaching (by self-taught) to create, then -erroneously- I tend to look for similarities and functionality between the two software.
on inventor I know perfectly how I could do, with I create no more where to bang the head.

Good morning.
I know little inventor but well and I create and can with certainty state that it is more complex and that to give you a precise answer you need to understand also the problems of contour of your problem: existence of a pdm? Code management? It's the first two things that come to my mind.
creo offers different tools x your case: family table, layers simp rep are the first things that come to mind.

as pdm use windchill.
the loading of the separate files takes place during check-in.
Maybe family tables aren't exactly ideal for my problem.
I tried to cuff with the simp rep but if I can ask you more details on the layers.. .

layers are similar to those of autocad and therefore it is possible to hide components (do not make them visible). this way you can make two distinct layers that display the two configurations you need. the only problem is that in this way the calculation of weight, baricentre, etc., is not correct because it takes into account everything.

a well, yes, of course the center of gravity will not be correct. but in this fringe i care relatively!
instead using the simp rep create goes to automatically recalculate the physical characteristics of the object?
