Good morning to all,
I would like to ask you a question about the crushed fold.
I press that this operation I do without any problem with solidedge from version 19 (so for about 10 years - 14 versions ago!).
I have to make a panel with a crushed edge.
I have a stretch of straight sheet, a radiated stretch say r=100mm with angle 45° and another straight stretch.
on these traits I have to make a crush as from image. problem on the curved section where I can't do it.
graphically I ovviato doing 3 parts and joining them together but clearly no longer develops as sheet metal.
for the workshop I think to correct by hand the dxf going to add the crushed on the curved part (I do it on the sheet side without the crushed on the curve).
I tried with 2019, I don't know if 2020 can.
I don't know if there's a more agile way to do that.
how would you solve?
Good day

on a curve it is not possible to make any bend
here a discussion with a similar problem

I figured. I also tried the flex function but with little results.
also with solidedge clearly you can not add folds on a curved part but the crushed cutting si.

thanks anyway massive for the answer celery.
Good day

If you care for representative purposes you can do it with sweep extrusion but it is not a sheet.... .
Also you have to leave a few cents of air when drawing the sketch of the folded profile.

hi at first I had done as you say but then I preferred to do as said in the first post because playing with configurations I can extract the development of the part without crushing on the curved tract.

bhé, but if you don't tell me I'm rh@@♦ito and I forget to put the links...

I had seen those discussions before.
by curiosity I tried with solidworks 2020 with the same results.
Even inventor 2020 fails
