Good morning to all,
There is an option in the customer default that I find very interesting.
clearly this option is disabled.
Since I would not oblige all users to find this option on the group, I would like to have this settling at user level, is it possible?
currently customer defaults are read only for users and it is right so, but I would find it would not take advantage of this option to keep a common line to all users.
It's a simple comfortable modeling option that wouldn't change a comma in business method and rules.

by curiosity.
What is the option you want to change?

to do so, you should define customer dafault at group level (or site) and user level.
in those group/sites you put everything you have to stay fixed.
in that user what can change.

Do you know how to set these different levels?

Here's the option.

I don't know how to do this, but if you explain it to me, I tell the cad manager, so we do it in the day.

There would be a long disintegration to do on this subject.
:cool:

I attach a document on the "new" customer default (it is nx3, but I think it hasn't changed much).

In summary, I go to memory... I did it once, 374 years ago...
1) edit the ugii_env.dat file, look for the ugii_local_user_defaults variable and the comments
2) create a dir of your convenience. for example: d:\siemens\dpv
3) under the dpv create directories: startup, application and udo
4) create environment variables: ugii_user_dir, ugii_group_dir, ugii_site_dir and the values with the path you created earlier, namely: d:\siemens\dpv
5) reopen the nx session

... let us know if everything works.

I did as you said, but it doesn't work.

#customer defaults centralized
ugii_site_dir=\\pippo\pluto\paperinosite

#customer defaults centralized by user
ugii_user_dir=\pippo\pluto\paperinouser

but when I start nx I always find myself like this:

some questions :
1) in case it works, how do I make this option changeable and not the others too?

2) in case it works, this possibility to change this option, how do you affect other users?

3) if we are in 50 and only I change, the other 49 remain sected?
