Hello everyone.. .

I've been starting to use inventor for a few days. But I'm freaking out how to cut solids. e.g. if I have two flanked cones that intersect and I would like to eliminate the part, precisely, intersecting. Would you explain to me how? I tried with dividing and various options but nothing. Don't you tell me it's only cut out for extrusion? !

I tried with the surfaces using the tool size and something you get it... I am not quite clear about this procedure. when I have to cut more surfaces than another I do not get the desired results.
help!
 
I am in the same part (the same .ipt) , I have to put them in a set to cut them? I'm trying to create an axieme with the two intersecting cones but I don't see the commands for such operations... .

you basically want to simply remove the intersecting part of the two cones to develop the resulting part... What I can do with rhino very simply with "cut". . .

but what file did you try to do what you intend to do? have you tried in .iam file?

cmq in every inventor operation, extruding sweep revolution etc, there is the possibility to choose between creates or material size. in a few words do the first cone then draw the sketch with laxagoma of the second with which to make the revolution, now choose cut in the command window.

I agree. It seems like a pretty simple operation to do. you must use the "cut" function of extrusion or sweep and not the "cut" component that you find on the abarra of commands
