hello to all...a question maybe simple but that is driving me crazy. Is there a quick way to cut a segment that crosses a floor? I tried to place the bird and with various attempts with the command size but I don't know exactly how to do...if there is someone more experienced that can help me... thank you a thousand

without the use of code the most sharp way is to create, if it is not already, a surface that represents the plan, then with imprimes you create a point on the surface in the intersection with the line.
this point is "hospitable" to bring one of the final grips of the line to the surface.

There is a different, very effective way, which exploits an anomaly of the program.
creates a ucs that has x along the floor, y perpendicular to the floor, so you get that your plan is lying on x and z.
put yourself in plain sight (_plan), draw a line that is the side view of your plan (it does not matter what z it is) and cut the segment with limit the line you created.
more difficult to describe than to do.
Obviously this process applies to all autocad entities, type segments that intercept a cylinder (in place of the line draws a circle) and so on.

I also had something else in mind, but given the interest aroused by the op I looked good...

command breaks (first point, second point). if then the line lies on a tilted plane little matter, use the face uct, setting the uct according to the inclination of the plane on which lies the line to break. also use dynamic ucts can help. But these are the basics... you should be imprisoned on these things. applies to autocad as for any other cad program.

Probably the line you want to break [Bleep] does not cross a floor but probably "yellow" on that floor. It is also very important to describe technically correctly as the entities in our design are placed.

[Bleep] the command cuts, on autocad, uses for solids and surfaces, while the command breaks is what is used for lines.

in case that segment crossed a plane, it should be enough to locate the geometric center of that plane after which with the command breaks (first point-second point) to break the line at that geometric center.

I correct the previous post. I confused the "cut" command with the "draw" command.
the size command serves for lines, the tranch for solids and surfaces. but in the specific case the most suitable command is the command breaks.

Similarly to what has already said crystal it is possible to make it even easier.
create the reference plan with the bird 3 points and then ruoti l'ucs around x y of 90°. you look flat and then cut the line using any of the plane segments (which will all appear aligned). I'm done.

p.s.
I actually laughed at the same things as crystal but it seems more practical to create the reference bird in this way.
