date table in excel format 2007

an external technical study sends us a part that contains a data table. on his pc is office 2007.
in opening from us, that we have office 2003, the table is not recognized by sw. rightly, I would add.
is there a possibility in sw2009 to store the data table in excel 2003 format? or are there other solutions?

I got caught up in this problem, I have both versions in my office. they had advised me to try to set excel 2007 so that it produces default files compatible with 2003. I've never tried and anyway, in my opinion, if you can solve the problem you have to go through for a 2007...

assistance provides us with this solution:
a) connect the data table to an external excel file.
b) make a "Save with name" in 2003 format of the excel file.
c) send the part with the attached excel file.

I haven't tried yet, but in theory it should work. in the phase of sending the pdm "free" the connection of the excel file and automatically sends it along with the part.

other solution, perhaps easier: insert a blank data table into the part and/or axieme template in 2003 format.
