I have a problem with inventor:

I use the suite pro 2011, and having to create all my steel parts, I want the association between creation part and material allocation (steel) to be automatically or by default.

instead it happens that when I create a new .ipt, I am assigned a default material.

There is a way to tell him that I don't want to use the default mat, but I want to use e.g. steel for all new parts

It's simple:
create a custom ipt template that you will use instead of the standard one,
and in that check immediately the material you prefer, color etc..
All +/- let's do this...
