define length bolts

prepared pairs of plates of different thickness I inserted bolts to fix them.
despite having employed the same templade, inventor selects the length he believes correct of the screws.
In this way I have screws of many different lengths, 45, 50, 55, 60 mm.

I couldn't tell him that he must always insert 60mm screws to avoid too many types.
how can I select the length of the screw?

I seem to have understood that the length of the screw, or rather, the protrusion over tightened material depends on the norm of the screw.
for example by setting the fixing of two plates, the length changes by choosing these standards: din931, din933, din960, iso4014, iso4017, iso8765.

However the management of the parameter length seems difficult to change, even only to understand which parameter set seems complex.

you can still change the length by dragging the control arrow... Obviously you can't set a shorter length than that chosen by inventor... or too high length if we talk about partially threaded screws. ..maybe with ilogic you can do something more automatic, but by default it is an operation that should be done individually for each bolted connection.

However, I can't reduce the length to parameters less than expected, I can only stretch.
This setting does not remain saved in the templade of the screw, so I should repeat it every time.
