any of you used metric straps for power transmission alone and not for positioning or transport?
Are disadvantages in terms of duration than hdt or similar gt?

It always depends on how you take them, if coated internally, if reinforced with steel cables, the base material etc. substantially you can do even if elasticity is usually different. gt/hdt straps have a circular seat profile and are more comfortable.
