I'm always the dental technician sorry if I break you always, you know if I can find a trial version of the dental shaper plugins for rhino? After your rabbits I started using rhino for my stl files and it is fantastic and you can have great advantages by learning to use it or having the version for the dental. ..sorry if I ask for advice all the time but they are at first arms:smile:

What do you want to do with the dentalshaper, align the dental platforms? abutments and things like that?

I was curious to see what potential it had so that I could integrate it into what I use daily. Unfortunately the implant platforms that I use are not very commercial and I find no one who can digitize my components without asking for figures that my owners unfortunately do not want to spend... I do a fight against the windmills x become more efficient in short.

rhinoceros is not exactly suitable; The fact that they developed that plu-in doesn't mean you can handle that kind of work well. If you look at the videos showing the use of the module it seems easy though if you have to work on mesh, cut them, carry out restoration work you will have to accept some Boolean surgery and little more. Finally the alignment between the dental platform and the modeled obtained from the scan is not very precise. if you have to manage toronto bridge on 3/4 or 5 plants not very well

we use rapidform but some things are good even with geomagic

I'll take a look at it as soon as you can give me some links to maybe download a trial version?? do you work with dental files?? ? because I don't know who to get in touch with to do tests or compare myself not to stay still and use cad 10% as most of us dental technicians

rhinoceros is not exactly suitable;...cut... but if you need to work on mesh, cut them, carry out restoration work you will have to accept some boolean surgery and little more.

I don't know the dental industry and its problems, but I work on mesh and rhino can do something more than just boolean operations.

Finally the alignment between the dental platform and the modeled obtained from the scan is not very precise. if you need to manage bridge to 3/4 or 5

the tools that rhino puts available to orient (align) in space in a precise way are many, I recommend you to deepen these methods :biggrin:

thanks for the advice you give me...cmq for personal culture and curiosity especially I will see also rapidform and geomagic... altrà application I downloaded the Dental Shaper plugin and required the temporary license but when I insert it tells me invalid. Does anyone know why or should I ask the firm who gave me the license? ? ? ?

Hello, I also work with implant platforms....
I did all the maths of the implants, and then I align them on scanning the scan body, or the marker or whatever you want to call it.

hi I started drawing platforms too, could you tell me how to align the abutment to the connection? ?
I mean how you find the right rotation.
