derived holes and circular series

Bye to all,
I hope here you can help me solve a problem on holes and series.
I created a flange with a hole and then get other via circular series.
I would like, through part derivation, to obtain the same holes on a coupled component, so that to change the holes on the first one it is also updated on the derived part.
Thank you for reading me, I hope in a step-by-step solution... they are at first arms!

solution1
create a new part derived from this, modify it by adding machining but keeping holes
solution2
create a new part, the mountains together and the assemblies the modification creating a sketch and projecting the geometry of the holes of the 1st detail (it comes to create the adactivity between the processes)

I would like to apply solution 1,
I created a new part file and derived the "part 1", but now I don't know how to derive the hole and the series because the changes on part 2 are automatic.
Can you give me the procedure in detail?
I'm trying, but I can't figure out what the steps are
