I would need to understand how to draw a custom tool that I can then use in turning.
I would also have done the design but then how I can make it known to the program and then use it.

Hello, did you look in the tool library?
to draw or better "create" a tool you can go in library tools e con create new tool from the dimensions, radiations and profiles of your need starting from basic/standard tools... in addition to giving speed, compensation, passing settings in percentages or mm... and much more. the tool you create will be displayed correctly even when you use verification
