Bye to all,
they gave us an overall in iges (only format that we could open through inv.11) but given the semi-total difficulty of detecting the components we received the single pieces always in iges format.
Now the problem is almost solved except that many pieces for how complex they were put on the table and the quotation is enough for the realization down in the workshop, while others have complex surfaces that should be given to the cam (mcam9).
how do you clean in inventor the iges by making it "solid" while now it is transparent and with the entities to be removed (holes, threads, etc.) not selectable?

Thank you.
Canister.

Be careful that the igs id inventor seems to be painful.
this tells me the cam users of the igs files I provide.
they prefer the step and then they think about converting it.

Bye.

in fact we always ask the step, but from the toptron of the customer only came out this... :
the problem is not in step exit but iges import that I don't know how to handle it.
I now look at the link davide 75 (thank you;-) and then I know you.

Hi.
Canister.

I finally had time to calmly put myself to see to solve this.
Unfortunately the excellent example and the related pdf did not succeed.
we have inv11 and lacks the function "copy object"; or at least I do not know where to find it:
What are you doing?

Hi.
Canister.

(maybe it's been too long and I can't change the message above... )

I would like to specify that while the linked procedure is for a mini-assieme I have to deal with a single object.

In addition, does the promotion function not work or is it fake?

bonne nuit!

as already said for other issues, if you want and can, attach the incriminated file.

Bye.

Okay, I'll attach it immediately, the simplest.

Thank you.
Canister.
with inv11 I can't solve it.
with inv2009 I had to delete one of the 93 surfaces, the one where there are the three holes that have a problem, after which I joined the surfaces and got the solid.

I'll train it in step, so you can open it with 11.

Bye.
