good morning to all members of the group, I am trying in a totally new carpentry project for the company in which I work and for simplicity I am making a separate cut, only that I have the following problem.

for the realization of the sheets I use the .ipt files but in the creation of the cutting distinction I can indicate only two sizes, the thickness that I insert by hand in the ipropietes under the heading number of magazine and the length that I insert in the settings document / distinct components. I would need to also insert the third dimension (width) always within the same voice.

you can also create custom iproperties that read parameters without switching from document settingcreate custom iproperties and read value through variables.
attention, sheet values.... represent the size of sheet metal development

I thank you enormously for the time you have dedicated to writing the answer but this method I already knew,
I better explain I would have liked to use only two columns or one for the thickness (and so far we are) and another where to insert at the same time the width and length.
I come from solidworks where you could do, with inventor I am not very familiar.

I have inserted on the custom properties the item "dimension" within which I entered the function =<d1>-<d0></d0></d1>I went to the table open the list of cuts and created a new property by always calling it "dimension" but on the table I find no value.

you have to click on the "new property" button and add size; clearly the list templates must have the parameter in each individual file

you can also do the same for carts, you can select standard or customized iproperties

but there's always a thing to remember (I'm already out of the game ) and do at every table because it's an operation associated with the model.
do similar operations exist in the basic sw settings? make sure to have the parameter of the active thickness by default, at each creation of a new sheet.

In fact, if after modifying the paper, save it as a model, for the new files, this paper will already be updated.
for previous tables, there is a special function that replaces in the 2d tables present in a folder, the old folder with the updated one present in the previously saved templates.

in the custom iproperties of the cartiglio idw I do not have the thickness available in the list of properties.
If I make the table of the model I first activated the parameter, only there I find it available.

I personally never put specific information of the thickness in the cartiglio, usually the recovery by inserting specific parts list for the sheets also of the single component. This is because I should have more cartilages related to different contexts, if for example you have a set containing 2 or more sheets the cartilage with the thickness would not be good because the thick info would be absent.
