hi guys, I often find myself shaping parts with surfaces to use them in finite element calculations. what happens is that as long as the geometry doesn't amount to the fem software, or even in sw simulation itself, I don't know how the normals are oriented and so I have to turn them over manually. I tried if you could see the orientation of the normal directly in the part or in the assist but I found nothing. Does anyone know anything about it?

thanks to all in advance:)

if clikki on the surface with the dx, there is surface healing combs, for the rest I do not know!

hi sobad, it is not the curvature but to view the positive or negative side of the surface according to how sw sets the normal. putroppo I do not see it until model in the fem preprocessor but sw like all cads take into account therefore I was wondering if it was possible to view it. in the end is a mere convention but it is nevertheless important when modeling for the finished elements. Perhaps through some vba code I get the information. ...

I don't know if it can help you: as you said surface has two faces and the positive direction of normal is purely conventional so that there are commands (I do not know in sw if there are) that reverse the normal of a surface, different speech is for the solids in which, always by convention, the normal positive of a face It's the one that goes out. However, there is no command that allows you to direct simultaneously normal of a series of surfaces.
