very kind members of the forum, I ask not to be an expert designer 3d. mine is a cinematic reconstruction activity of road curtains with specific software 3d simulation (vcrash4).
I need to import my simulator a road tunnel model of which I already have the geometry of the master section from me detected and drawn in dxf. I tried to extrude with the 3d function of autocad but importing the dxf model in my program does not recognize the solid. Is there anyone who can help me? I would just need a definitely more skillful descriptor than me extruding my section for 200 units. attach dxf and dwg files of the sketch. thanks for the help...save

probably the extrusion operation did not go well with extruded command. you can then try with the "press and drag" command that generates a spline extrusion.
it is necessary to exit from the flat view and with the command presses and drags select the closed splines (in your case are 3... the time and the two sidewalks) providing him with a direction and a measure of extrusion. autocad will create solid without problems. try importing this dxf

tristus thank you so much indeed there will be a problem of importzine because even with your dxf model is not generated galllery in the vcrash but only in autocad... I made a test with a simplified model through freee cad and the model is imported. I try to build a skecth in freecad but I'm going crazy with the constraints... thank you very kind

right drink recommend freecad to generate solid. if properly configured you can import the dxf profile into freecad and extend it by making a solid and import it into your program.

just to understand if the process you did is compatible, can't you make a circle in dxf and extrude it and import it? if it does not work is the dxf3d method that does not go.

Mechanicalmg I only read you now, thanks also for your advice. to say the truth I preceded directly with freecad, I did not import the profile but I drew it in sketch and then I extruded it as solid... everything ok imported also in my software and is perfectly compatible. I did not draw directly in 3d for more than 10 years but freecad has shown itself very valid, the only flaw that does not export the models directly to dxf or 3ds, I had to pass for .igs and then convert online the model to dxf...cmq went...thanks I didn't think I would have answers so fast, a great forum. I attach photos as satisfaction of having succeeded...a greeting to all and thank you again.. .

I looked at the features of virtual crash. this software allows to import solids in the obj format. you could therefore export the solid from autocad to .stl format and then convert online the sl to obj to see if virtual crash accepts it without problems. the obj format is one of the most used interchange formats in the import/export of solids.
Finally, you could, to test, convert the obj to dxf, always online, to see if vcrash recognizes the dfx so created (this in case vcrash wanted a dxf). if everything works you avoid opening too many programs to digest the solid to vcrash
