another question, I would like to develop a sheet corresponding to a cylindrical coat (see example) in modeling I am not allowed to use the development, it tells me "no data of development found" while annotation manages to develop it quietly, you know why?
next to the cut I also created two small flat faces (opposed) to see if it manages a radius of curvatures near 360 °... but nothing!
Hi.

Surely it's a bit strange, because when creating development in 2d it should do it more in 3d. Obviously turning a cylinder into a folded sheet is a bit of a forcing, the error that you usually make, I don't know if your case, is to create a thick solid not constant, for example along the cutting line of the cylinder sometimes you punch a rectangle instead of a circular sector and therefore the same thickness is no longer.

you are perfectly right the cut I made has a rectangular section instead of triangular (sector). now that I think I had already made this mistake (different time ago) that I resolved by reasoning on us! .... now I've relapsed.
Thanks again....;-)

Still doesn't develop it.
evi manage it as two folds with angle less than 180° if you want to open it in 3d
