Bye to all,

I do design and have to design a medium sized object to be produced in die casting (vacural).
I would like to know what is the minimum sform angle for a simple mold in two parts, considering that the piece can be described as a kind of washing machine pulley (the big one, diameter about 500 mm., which is located behind the washing basket) and that the thicknesses could also vary a lot (from about 3 mm to about 30....35... )
note that the non-deformation of the piece, after printing, is fundamental because it is intended for precision mechanics.

thank you and anyone can give an indication.

Hi.
Typically in die-casting you use a deformed angle of 1st.
Obviously the complexity of the surface also plays an important role on the sforms.

How come you have 30 mm thicknesses?

hi for the deform if possible you should stay on the 2nd however it also depends on the geometry as they have already told you
attention that thick accumulations can create deformation problems in any case in order to have some more concrete advice you should compare with who will make the mold

Hi.
actually in die casting or injection moulds
Say or ask how many degrees you need to extract a piece is not exactly accurate
you need to indicate how many mm or tenths you need to make the sform angle
to extract that particular without deformation
besides the fact that even on single piece or single face you can apply a variable sform
Thank you very much
