hi raga are new to this forum, I write you because I have a small problem with arcgis 9.3 and a dwg file. I will explain briefly the problem hoping to be as clear as possible. I imported inside arcgis a dwg file with xrif external references (in a few words recalls all sheets of a ctr of a given area) but unfortunately when it matters does not display the quota values of the various isoipse, and the toponyms. I tried to turn all layers on the annotation item, but unfortunately this voice only works on the text created within this dwg and not dwg that recalls as external references. How can I do to make the quotas appear without obviously having to load the tablet individually, since so I would lose all the work previously done?

I hope you can help me, thank you in advance for your availability and kindness.

can't you incorporate its external references in autocad?
if you go to the external reference management panel, selecting the dwg reference with the right button you will find the option join.

I created in dwg union but when the load in arcgis now does not show me anything..as if the dwg was empty (I tried to make a query on the database but there is not even a record).

It seems strange to me that before it displayed the content of the dwg, even without the references, and now the same dwg with embedded references does not display anything. :confused:

I tried to have experienced the dwg as a dwg for autocad 2000 and now arcgis opens it... but nothing all like before....always as if there were external references....the odds are not there

does not display only quotas or anything concerning text entities? (if there are other text entities)

does not display everything about the text of the files that were previously tickled. . .

I'm sorry

Here are also the list:

command: _list found(s) 1

text layer: "l014"
space: model space
manager = b4d57
style = "leroy 0"
note: No.
font file = simplex.shx
initial point, x=2559913.5781 y=4224869.2402 z= 0.0000
height 15.0000
text 823.0
rotation angle 0
width scale factor 1.0000
angle inclination 0
normal generation

Can you attach a very small portion? so I verify the import in arcgis, few elements are enough. I don't know if I can do this in the morning, but I don't have arcgis on this station.

ps: also tried to transform the dwg into shapefile?

:) curse group layers :d in a few words the complete file was inside the goup layer that formed the dwg and was not loaded when I imported it into arcgis
