display only objects belonging to a certain quota plan

Bye to all,
I apologize if I open a discussion already questioned, but I don't think I've found anything like that.

My problem is that I find myself having to model a 3d structure with autocad and it would be convenient to create work plans (with its ucs) but in those plans I would like to view and work on objects belonging only to that floor, to understand, with the same quota z without having also other overlapping objects. so that by selecting those objects, I can only change those related to that plan and other objects, which are overlapped, remain unaltered.

is it possible to do it without having to create a thousand layers for each floor and then freeze them?
I also tried with filters but I don't think you can set up for the same reference share

thanks to who will answer

to use only autocad is a big limitation. Can't you use a 3d parametric software for similar jobs?

the fact is that use sofistik for structural analysis and has an autocad interface for modeling

Sofistik I know for certain that it also turns on revit, but not in detail because I don't know what apps you are using

ok I don't know if I can but because in autocad a typical sofistik palette appears to shape the structural elements... I don't think there will be the same thing on revit. Anyway, I'll take a look. Thank you very much

I could anke attach it, but I don't think it changes much...the speech is generic and it is worth in any case you are working with objects belonging to different planes.

in the specific case I find myself modeling a foundation plate with extruded poles along z put in multiple rows and it would be convenient to be able to work on a single row and therefore only one x-z plan for example

if a software is programmable, everything can be done, depends on the ability of those who use it.
in your case it would be enough to place the visible property off for all poles that are not along the x-z plan

I'm not able to plan autocad but if you could do as you say it wouldn't be bad... .

I thought I'd make blocks at this point. .

commands:
- vix turns off all solids that do not have the x of the selected solid
- viy turns off all solids that do not have the y of the selected solid
- viv restores solid display status

the selection of solids does not include the definition of layers, if you think it is appropriate to insert.

bye

You can do it quietly without too many fights.
Put yourself in a side view. select all the plan that interests you and give the island object command.
wanting to do the most refined you could group the plan objects with the group command (I never see anyone using it) so that it becomes easier to select it with a click at any point without having to recheck everything.
you can also mix objects of different planes. There is no limit to imagination and possible creations.
If you want you can also use the blocks that you can change on the spot (also leaving outside parts) or directly in the editor. There are many possibilities.
If you want to play with the layers you can do the same by freezing and defrosting a thousand and a thousand layers but at one stroke only by playing with the layers states (other thing I see no one ever uses).

p.s.
then of course you can take it to the working plane and set the ucts to the view (or let it do automatically by changing the ucsfollow variable).
