distinct multibody material

Good morning to all,
for work I am drawing a duct in sheet metal, I started to model everything with multibody mode.
I use this procedure because with the progress of engineering I will find myself making spools for several reasons (transport, lifting interfaces, etc.) so it is impossible for me to define precisely the size of the piece and its work in advance.

in front of this small premise I ask you:
How do I manage the material list? Consider that the bolt is piping the insert using the classic together iam

the multibody does not generate distinct useful for production.
the only way is to select all bodies and, with the dx key, make "create components"
you can generate a set that will consist of ipt derivatives and connected to the parent body.
