doubt about copying geometry together

My problem is this:
I am defining the detail 1, before completing the piece I want to use the geometry at the present time to copy it in another file, such geometry will serve me as a starting point to define the particular 2 and will not have to undergo updates due to the subsequent processing introduced on the particular 1.
I tried with the publish geometry, but the feature of publish geometry is updated following the subsequent work, the same with the copy geometry I tried with the inherited features, but then I should suppress the features I don't need (a little too laborious).
Is there another method?
(for those who know nx corresponds to the geometry copy with the timestamp option).

thanks to all in advance

I use a trick

I create a copy of the surfaces I have to copy part 1 in part 1then use copy geometry copying that copy of surfaces. so doing data cups that are related to the time of the model tree and not the finite geometry of the object

Hi.

according to me with the external gometria copy works

- deselections the box "only published geometry"
- dismiss all geometries that interest you
- from the property menu deselections the "dependent" flag

cover the piece, independent and you can make the changes you want to the original piece.

p.s. the copied geometry is to be solidified if necessary.

Good job

but if you make copygeom independent in case of change geometry you do not update entirely. if you leave it dependent you also add the geometries that you have created beyond the moment of the model you want to photograph and then you risk the failure of feature. doing the copy of support everything works properly

edit I just did the test. the publish geom updates and takes behind even the next geometries

depends on your intent.

Below I list a number of solutions that I prefer to adopt in case of father-son parts, father-son of nn. your choice depends on whether or not you want to preserve a kind of addiction

a) you can combine 2 details, of which the first is the status quo and the other empty (union-heritance), so as to freeze the parent part and continue modeling on particular children.

b) you can simply save a copy of the particular in question.

c) you can collapse geometry using the insertion of the independent geometry obtained from the father part and continue modeling, or export and reimport the basic geometry.

This method actually solves my problem!
