Good morning to all
to better understand the functioning of the connectors in solidworks simulation I coupled two perforated plates with a contact group without interconnection in the common face.
for connectors I put 4 bolts m16 with preload on each of 5000n.
I applied a force of 10000n up to the top face of the upper plate.
I have bound with fixed bonds 2 opposite sides of the lower plate.
I would have expected to see an axial force for each screw equal to the preload plus 2500n.. .
It is not as you see from the attached images.
Was I wrong to expect such a force or did I mistakenly model something?
I'm very confused.
Thank you.
