Hello, I'm 24 years old and I've been working recently in a company's technical office specialized in plastic molds and sheet metal molds.
In the office we are two: I (designer) and a colleague (designer and programmer cnc).
for every new order, my colleague develops the project in 3d and I take care of the table and drawings.
But the manager lets me understand that I spend too much time, given the short times we have.
my hand is: how do I optimize my times? once he made me (the manager) a joke saying that on average it is calculated 1 hour per single drawing. Of course every mold has its history and its characteristics and you can not establish a standard timing, but according to you, 80 hours to develop a progressive mold with a total of 70 details (to be drawn) is really so much? considering that I also have to develop the ball (inferior overall design, superior and possibly intermediate).
Do you follow a table to adjust? Thank you.
