I managed to install it and put it in inventor, however, it does not work very well, it only goes for very simple parts. Are there any other solutions?

stl files are generally rognosis to manage.
I don't know the application, but if you do a search in the industrial design section you should find information about software to manage stl files.

good morning thanks to the answer, I was informing myself about the stl files, because they are practically the only files found on the web... exist sites that offer, 3d designs specially for inventor?

Yeah, sure.
there are some platforms where the real producers enter their catalogue.
the 3d file in the various formats is also available on each product.
but don't expect to find the feature tree that created the model, you will only find a simplified solid.
Obviously this is dictated by the need to avoid unwanted counterfeiting and copying.
I don't know if I can tell you here links to the sites, I should go first to see the forum rules.

if I remember well there are also complete native files, the search however is more difficult because usually they are fans who publish their works.

Okay, but if I have to make a drawing, maybe a babbonatale 3d, and then I want to add a socket to hang it on the mast, what should I do to make changes?

from the file you download on the platforms you can do what you want, of course you will have a solid as a starting point.
from there lies to your skill in shaping get what you want.

with a stl I think it is almost impossible to have a good result.

and anyway we talk about mechanical components, this you find on the various platforms.
