"effective" advantages of surface use

Hi, I wanted to ask you what are the actual benefits in time, regeneration and management of the features of a plastic component.
provided that I use the surfaces recently but I noticed that if to make a component with solid functions it takes 100 features with the surfaces it takes 300 at least.

in my humble opinion the advantage of the surfaces is not linked to the speed of execution of the part,
but to the fact that you can realize complex maths that cannot be realized in any other way.
I'll just show you what I mean.
