enforced piece part

Hello, everyone. I am working on files imported from step and when I go to add a component, the writing appears:

"the part is an enforced piece part.components cannot be added to it."

It doesn't make me add components. Does it look like a file setting someone can help me?

I think it's like this:

file - utility - enforced piece part

you should find the flag : enforced piece part

remove the check and confirm with ok

the concept of the enforced is to avoid being able to add parts considered single parts and therefore not considerable assemblies.

I thought it was a setup/message like the "this page is left blank intentionally" printed on old unigraphics manuals.

Just to add something to the puzzle... the problem arises with all solidedge assemblies. nx in practice is able to open solidedge axioms *.asm and all structure composed of *.par files. on all those files the flag of the enforced piece part is automatically put. Maybe it makes sense, maybe nx thinks that I will assist him just display it and not change it and in this way he "protects", except to allow me to change it by removing the flag...
