I am evaluating the trial version of adina (http://www.adina.com) and I would like to compare with other users (I read on the forum that zaxxon, vmax and others had experiences with this software): what do you think?

adina is definitely a very good product, and in the full version with all physical even not too expensive.
Unfortunately, it's not very intuitive, but it's reminiscent of the old generation of fem programs in the interface and file management.
I honestly didn't feel like changing ansys with this.
If I had been a new user, I would have taken it seriously.

in the post I said that I am testing it, actually I thought it was downloadable the verse of proof, instead things are more complex and it will take a few days to view the version limited to 9000 knots.
a commercial question: would you tell me a reference for resale in Italy?
returning to adina: how do you see it compared to comsol? I'm not referring to "performances", but to the interface and workflow, and compared to ansys? consider that I am particularly interested in the structural part (applications: simulation of plastic processing on the sheet, but also the classic "small strain" contact analysis and dynamic analysis).

I used the full version of adina for more than a year and without doubt has one of the most powerful nonlinear engines on the market, to understand us we are at the level of marc-abaqus, the author is a certain k.j. bathe, the red book of the fem, to understand us.
Moreover it is the only software I know, with comsol, able to perform really coupled multiphysics analysis. attention that is a fem solutor also for the cfd, with all the advantages and disadvantages of the case.
compared to comsol is more "engineering", than ansys is more "academic", very old-style, type classic ansys to understand us. In fact, to be productive on non-banal schematizations typical of mechanics and aerospace, it is highly advisable to join a prepost of femap or patran level, or, since law formats nas in input, you could actually use another prepost, there are then plugins specific for ideas, but I have never used.
in Italy the official dealer is encae, I can give you more info, if you are interested make me a phone call.

thanks vmax... I have already made contacts with encae, should activate the trial version (900nodes, not 9000). In fact what I care about is the operational speed in the prepost phase... We'll see.

I've always heard about it from the non-linear point of view.

we started using adina recently. We are modeling a flat system and we cannot visulate the main tensions and traction isostatics. Can anyone help us? ?
