Hello, everyone. I have a curiosity.
What's the difference between enlargement and trim/extend? in my mach1 the enlarge is not available (while in nx2 it was in the basic commands if not mistaken). In practice I would like to understand what difference is if I use the trim/extend with the option extend using the natural curvature or tangent to the original skin. Can any of you with the mach3 show me a comparison between the two extensions? thanks in advance... Bye-bye

If I understand what commands you refer to, I tell you that:

with widening extend each of the four sides of a surface (the original edges - although hidden) of a percentage value (negative or positive, up to a max of 3000% ) , choosing whether in a linear or polynomial way .

with trim/extend all the edges (any) of a value or percentage, linearly, tangent or curved. The command is also called trim because you can use it as well to cut a sup. with the other, leaving them divided, or cutting them both and joining them in one shot.

Hello, yes, the commands I'm talking about are those! what I was interested in understanding was whether the surface obtained with the enlarge is the same that I get with the trim/extend when I extend it while maintaining the curvature.

for the evidence I did (up to grade 5) yes.
Then you know, there are some models that I recommend.

blue - trim/extend
orange - enlargement
