equations in repetitions

hello to everyone and apologize if I make myself alive a few times! I just passed from inventor to solidworks 2009. nice, I like it, but obviously there are some differences with inventor and I can't locate similar functions between the 2 software. one of the problems is parameterization. see "repetition": in sw there is the command but I want to parameterize the times that the desired component repeats and the repetition quota. in inventor I could do it and I'm sure sw does it, but how? I have to use the eqautions, but I can't immmeter them in the linear repetition. How do you do that?
I'm losing a lot, I don't know how to do it, and of course, I'm asking you if you can help me. Thank you in advance!

Hello and welcome! You have to understand what you mean by parameterizing. How do you want to manage this data?
do you want to use equations because the number of instances must be calculated on the basis of other parameters?
one thing you could do, for example, is to use configurations or better still the data tables.

Yes, I have to calculate according to other parameters. For example, I have to install "peales" in the ground and these vary from interasses depending on different wind loads and soil properties that I have from time to time. If I create formulas to do so I save time in the future.

to control through an equation the repetition cannot do as with quotas. in the sw quotas allow you to insert the equation directly as set the quota; while with repetition you have to act differently: go to equations, insert a new equation and then from inside the equation to insert the repeat parameter go to click directly on the 3d model (in the sense that if you double-click the repetition in the model tree, you will see the control parameters on the drawing) at that point you can tie it as you want to other parameters.

see, it doesn't work in linear repetition: If I have poles and want to repeat them in the "repetition" function I only admit the number of times and the entirety. if I also do as you say, i add eq. and then I click 2 times, nothing happens. It doesn't show me any quota because (probably) there are no. So I go back to the starting point, that is, I can't put any equation. Thanks for the help, but I can't
