then I would like to realize a fem analysis of a tubular beam, but the mesh that I have to perform must use a single beam element to 2 knots, now this thing with the old ansys is almost automatic, but wanting to use the workbench and the design modeller can not do it.
I create my element lines body with assigned a cross section but when I want to load this model in the mechanical gives me the error:

So now I have been able to import a line leotard mechanically and I have created a mesh beam, only now I can't give the loads or the constraints, i create them but I can't find any geometry to be able to bind or to which to apply a load.

Then I managed to do everything, but now the results are not correct, that is now I explain to you the problem that I have to solve.

Having a framed-free beam I have to impose a shift to the enclosure and I have to see how the beam starts to vibrate.

the problem is that once assigned the move the other extreme of the beam remains immobile (although it is not bound) and does not begin to vibrate as an elastic body would. actually ansys does not even complete the simulation and once it has assigned the move ramp blocks the simulation by saying too big energy error

the problem can be in the type of analysis I make to him, I also tried transient structural but nothing yet, the body does not start to vibrate.

I'll have to do something like that, so I'll ask you... how can you insert a simple beam with the wb? I am still at the pass:
"unable to attach geometry" I don't want to model the attaverso plate or shell beam but it also serves me the beam element..
I also ask you: know if you can assign to these beams an elastoplasty bond and then get a moment-curve diagram etc etc etc. etc.?

create line bodies with desing modeler
if you import the selected geometry into the tree where there is "import", and in the propitiaties put on "yes" where it is written "process line bodies"
always in design model associated with line bodies of cross sections

then in the mesh-setup-solution environment put forces, constraints etc.
wanting a beam with substations and blocked rotations inserted first a fixed support and then above you put a fixed rotation.

in any case I think if you want to work on beams it is better classic ansys of workbench.
